Feliway Diffuser helps to reduce stress in cats. Many things can be stressful for your cat including sharing its home with other cats, moving home, introducing a new pet, redecorating and new furniture; this can sometimes make them behave strangely.

Feliway is a synthetic copy of the feline facial pheromone. When a cat feels safe and secure in its environment it will rub its head on objects in the home such as furniture, corners of walls etc – this leaves behind facial pheromones. These pheromones are the way cats mark their home territory, meaning when they return to this environment they know it is a safe area. The absence of these familiar marks is believed to lead to an increase in anxiety.

Ceva laboratories have managed to mimic this natural marking and put it into Feliway. The Feliway diffuser is ideal for multi-cat households, moving home, introducing new pet, redecorating, new furniture, settling into a new home, for firework nights, or to add as further support to the Feliway spray in scratching and urine spray marking.

The Feliway diffuser can be placed in the room where stressed behaviour has taken place, to give off a feline facial pheromone that will put the cat at ease. Please note that is only compatible with the UK power supply. For use in other countries you may require an adaptor. Reactions to stress, such as, urine marking, vertical scratching, loss of appetite, reduced desire to play and interact, may be expressed by cats in certain situations.
